Maqamat of Qur’an(مقامات القرآن)

 To begin with, this is a course designed to train reciters of Qur’an on how to muster a sound voice capable of reciting in a more balanced and professional manner. some of the things we would be learning include;

•  we will learn in-depth on ‘makharijul-huruf”(points of articulation) on all the Arabic alphabets for a more professional and controlled recitation.  
•  We will work on the basic vocal scales and learn about some of the sub-scales.
•  We will also work on the vocal exercises and warm-ups necessary to maintain the voice and its strength and increase its skills and vocal range in reciting the Qur’an.
•  We will work on the method and how to breathe correctly.
•  The articulation points of letters and words.
• Practice listening well.
•  The application of this is illustrated with examples of supplications, praises, and verses from the Qur’an.
•  How to perform the troubles, regulate the breath, and maintain the time while singing or reading, with regard to reciters, and the improvisations, with regard to singers.
